Acceptable-use policy
Effective 2026-09-25 · Version 2026-09-25
Sendery is for legitimate product and service emails that recipients expect. Having an email address or a past business relationship alone does not authorize every kind of message.
Permitted sending
Use Sendery for requested or reasonably expected account, authentication, security, payment, order, booking, support, and service-status messages connected to a real interaction. Identify the sender accurately and use domains you control or are authorized to use.
You must obtain any consent or other permission required by the laws that apply to the sender and recipient. Keep evidence when required. Adding promotions to an otherwise transactional message can change its legal classification. Honour opt-outs where applicable and do not conceal marketing inside security or service messages.
Prohibited activity
- Unsolicited bulk promotions, cold outreach, or sending to purchased, rented, harvested, or guessed address lists.
- Phishing, impersonation, spoofed sender details, fraud, malware, credential theft, or deceptive links.
- Illegal content, threats, harassment, hate-based abuse, sexual exploitation, or violations of intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Repeated sending to known invalid addresses, ignored complaints, attempts to bypass suppressions or account restrictions, or rotating accounts or domains to evade enforcement.
- Probing or disrupting Sendery or another system without authorization, including excessive requests designed to exhaust resources.
- Submitting full payment-card details, account passwords, or specially regulated data that our standard service is not suitable to handle. Authentication codes and reset links are permitted for their intended delivery, with appropriate history exclusions.
Sender responsibilities
Keep recipient lists accurate, protect API credentials, monitor failures and complaints, and stop sending when a recipient or provider indicates abuse. Configure required domain authentication and provide any sender identification or unsubscribe method required by law.
You remain responsible for content and recipients even when a template was generated, translated, copied from the gallery, or sent by a team member. You must not use Sendery to evade the requirements of your connected mail provider.
Abuse handling and review
We may investigate delivery events, complaints, account activity, and relevant content to assess suspected misuse. Depending on severity, we may request evidence of permission, require corrections, pause sending, revoke access, remove unlawful content, or terminate an account. Providers can independently block delivery.
We aim to give notice and a chance to respond where practical. We may act immediately for serious risks, legal requirements, or repeated violations. Restrictions do not create an automatic refund entitlement; billing errors and mandatory refund rights remain covered by our billing terms.
Report abuse or request a review at [email protected]. Include the sender, approximate date, and message headers or identifiers when available. Do not forward active passwords, verification codes, or reset links. We may preserve relevant records and respond to lawful requests.
